Like the rest of the world, Vancouver is dealing with the serious reality of the COVID-19 pandemic. The CLICK team is grateful to our dedicated health care workers who are helping people and saving lives on a daily basis. We are also grateful to the community and program leaders who are working to ensure that in this extraordinary time, life isn’t even harder for working poor families and their children.
Many of the programs CLICK funds – programs that help the one in five children living in poverty in Vancouver – are unsure exactly how they can operate in the coming months. But there are programs and services that are making sure vulnerable children and youth have the food and other supports they need in this very difficult time. Over the coming weeks and months, the CLICK board of directors is committed to channelling funds to those programs so they can continue to make a difference.
